Five Schools in New York City and Long Island, NY
Implement MySmileGuide.com
EAST SETAUKET, NY - My SmileGuide been selected by five major public schools with New York City and Long Island, NY to bring interactive oral health education to students.
In February 2009, My SmileGuide launched web-based oral health program for the following schools:
- Clara Barton High School (Brooklyn, NY)
- Francis Lewis High School (Queens, NY)
- Three schools in the Three Village School District (Suffolk County, NY), including: Ward Melville High School, Gelinas Junior High School and Murphy Junior High School.
Approximately 5000 students are participating in the program. The online program provides a two-visit oral health assessment. Each student receives secure and personalized oral health / behavioral counseling. At the conclusion of the programs, each school will receive a report about its student group. Group reports demonstrate changes in student group knowledge and behavioral health during the assessment period. A significantly expanded program is under development for the fall 2009.
